I'm halfway between you two. On one hand, with all the unrepentant stuff Nathanos has done, I don't know if there's a redemption there, or if he'd even go for one. On the other hand, there'ss a weird compelling nature to him - I like his potential more than who he actually is.
I just don't see anyone vouching for him or sparing him at this point. It's very possible that killing Nathanos is more troublesome than not as he could just end up back in Torghast where he's safe (unless we kill him there?) so we capture him instead.
