Also while I know people are championing which characters are going to be coming with us to the Shadowlands, I really hope they're not major players in each faction. Meaning I REALLY hope Blizzard realizes Alliance players don't want to follow Thrall around ANOTHER expansion.
Horde players don't exactly want to follow around Tyrande in Ardenweald again either (and she probably doesn't want us to either). This is why I think we should get characters faction-based in each realm instead.

I really don't think you can compare Tyrande showing up for a single quest chain in Legion with Thrall in Cataclysm and WoD.

Thrall wasn't really a thing for Alliance in Warlords of Draenor too much. Cataclysm I definitely understand why the Alliance wouldn't be too thrilled about him. I don't think Thrall will have a -giant- role in Shadowlands but he will have a role in Maldraxxus most likely.
