I think people might wanna calm down a bit about Allied Races lately. I've noticed a great deal of demand of this race, that race, etc. This is especially the case for the Covenant Races in the Shadowlands which in my opinion should NOT join the Horde or the Alliance.

As neat as the Shadowlands races are, it'd just open a massive can of worms, both from a "If they can be allied races, why not X?" and a lore perspective Think allied races are best off as a BFA feature.
I don't think we've seen the last of the Allied Races but when it comes to the Covenants I think it's best to take a break from them. We're already getting new customization features that for some even surpass some of the allied race options.

Can always return with a different name or mix the two - having to unlock the new race first by meeting certain requirements, then a short scenario to actually get them, unique starting zone for just that race and at max level you get a heritage armour.
