I don't have any interest in playing Final Fantasy but that all being said I've heard its story is pretty good and I don't understand a game wanting to tell a story as a bad thing at all.

Because these people are trained by Blizzard that the story doesn't matter only the gameplay does. Which I've always thought, even back when I 100% loved everything about WoW, was a bogus excuse to not TRY to tell a good story. A game can do both. FFXIV does easily.

I don't even play WoW for its gameplay. I don't mind playing the game, obviously. But I mainly am in WoW for its story. If WoW genuinely didn't tell a story at this point and it was nothing but gameplay I doubt I'd be as invested as I am.
