Keep the factions separate, write them better. BfA failed, but it wasn’t because it had a faction war, but because the faction war was told badly. The Horde were only fighting “because Sylvanas (who is clearly the villain) said so”. I want well-written faction tension.
BfA in many aspects had a lot of good and bad moments with it's storytelling. The faction conflict was at its peak with the Battle of Dazar'alor. I think honestly the faction war should've been much shorter and focus way more on the threat of Sylvanas/the Healing of the world.
