For as many as there are those that want the Faction dissolved. There are those who don't want it to be dissolved. I feel like the best way to do this would be to add a 3rd faction that remains neutral. As I for one don't want to leave the Horde but I know others who might.

I'd just put it up to player choice. Factions still mean a lot to a lot of people, but I don't think the story should force us into those roles. For gameplay purposes they have to exist, but I'm getting kinda tired of the story shoehorning me into flag waving patriot Commander.

Yeah I don't try to advocate for the Horde and Alliance being dissolved. More all the races -needing- to be shoe horned into them to be playable. Which is at the center of Blizzard telling a story about the trials and tribulations of risen night elves in the worst way imaginable.

I think they should have left the original concept of the world without fractions. Night elves are friends with tauren, humans are friends with orcs, all are neutral to each other. It makes sense after Hyjal. But instead, we only have stupid and destructive wars.

Well the game is called "Warcraft" and I hate to say it but there was a success to the Alliance vs Horde stuff from the get-go. People are passionate about their factions. I am too. Hopefully, after BfA the faction wars are indeed over.

I don't think dissolving factions entirely is the way to go about it, but player choice in some instances would be nice. Dissolving in gameplay terms just puts everyone in the same boat. You'd have Forsaken on the same team as Night Elves, forced to chum it up.

Faction iconography is important though. As much sense as it'd be to have humans be neutral (they're one of the most versatile races in the game) they're inextricably linked to the blue team. Same with orcs and the horde.

Another problems I can think of tons of races on the Horde with plenty of reasons to swap factions (Belfs, NB, Tauren, Goblins) but very few Alliance ones that'd go Horde.

The Tauren less-so but I can see the Blood Elves, Nightborne and -MAYBE- some of the Goblins. Gotta remember the Horde provided the goblins most of their income and jobs so I can see why Goblins stick with the Horde. Plus well, Tauren and Goblins are alive because of the Horde.

For sure but the Taurens blood debt was like 20 years ago now and so many of them are neutral through their druid schtick anyways. I just mean it as far as races I could conceivably see being buddy buddy with the alliance races.

I think there's a difference between buddy-buddy with the Alliance races and leaving the Horde though. The Tauren have always been the most chill with the other races and factions.
