I personally would love Thrall to become a shaman again, but the elements aren’t so forgiving, so if he does it will take a while for it to happen. Would be neat tho if Shamans FINALLY got a unique quest involving thrall or something

The elements are not upset with Thrall. The problem that Thrall is having with the elements are strictly because of his guilt - it's all in his head. The elements are and never were mad.

That could be it, but if I remember from the Doomhammer quest, thrall says that the elements stopped responding to him since the Garrosh incident, so it could a combination of both? Thrall seems like he’s scared to face these things kind of like Jaina was with Kul tiras

So it could be a matter of him needing face the things he did to rekindle his connection with the elements, he seemed in denial that Garrosh becoming what he was because of Thrall.

Oh. I must have missed that in the artifact book. But it would be a neat thing to see thrall connect with the elements happen in game as opposed to the books, maybe even a cinematic? I find some of the better story telling happens in game but I wouldn’t mind reading about it

I have the feeling that Draka, and other people in the Shadowlands will help restore Thrall's elemental powers. Much like how Jaina's focus was in most of the Terran Gregory styled cinematics I have the feeling Thrall's will be too in the next expansion.

That’s what I was thinking too, something I would absolutely love to see, is of Cairne would show up in the shadowlands as he seemed to be one of Thralls closest friends
