I think Gallywix is preoccupied with being with Sylvanas for the time being. And considering her track record I imagine he'll die with working with someone like that.

He makes a deal to get out as far as I am aware and is with Sylvanas currently. This is stated by Thrall to Gazlowe, to ask him to be the new Trade Prince, so I'm gonna give a guess here that the goblin heritage armor storyline took place before 8.2.5's events.
