I've met some incredible Forsaken Fans out there but unfortunately -- yeah. There's way too many who take things too far with how much they like or dislike a character. A lot of my dislike for Sylvanas' character does come from those fans in particular.
I think the Night Elves have some stories to tell about being "oppressed" than anyone. Doesn't help that some of their fanbase takes things too far but what fanbase doesn't?
