I feel this a lot. I'm very critical and skeptical of news and anything that can potentially be abused, like polling numbers. I think that behind a lot of things like game mechanics and fight designs, there are devs who thought something was a genuine decent design on paper.
Sometimes I often question why I am not as critical or hard on a company like Blizzard and if I am wrong for being as optimistic as I usually am. I definitely have my issues with the company more and more lately but I get uncomfortable and even uneased when it blows up.

It's very easy to treat blizzard like some anonymous entity. That isn't to say that criticism isn't allow, either. But I do notice people are very quick to hop on a hate train and immediately blow up.

I've thought about it a lot too. Short answer? Blizzard has given me tremendous amounts of good with WoW in the past, that I'm willing to muster through a bad patch - it helps that having fun in downtimes with WoW is absolutely doable.

Past that, I'm also fairly sure that the creatives at Blizzard - like Golden, Ion, Moorgard, Terran - aren't really to blame for the recent polarizing products. I know they love the game like we do. I think they're just working in confines from up high that are often restraining.

The way I see it, we just don't need to be as needlessly angry as some of these people are. The game has alot of love put into it regardless of how someone feels about their classes numbers or the next store mount. I recognize when they do bad, but not enough people see the good.

But that's just putting my feeling on the matter in as small of a message as twitter will let me. Trying to stay positive over something you love isn't wrong, please continue to keep that attitude where you can.

My problem is when people milk controversy for views or relevance. Like some ppl literally dedicate their whole online presence to complain about shit. Its like they actually want bad drama to happen just so they have something to talk about.
