That's the slippery slope I'm on. On the one hand, WC3 is a damn good game, so getting to play it again is a-ok by me. On the other hand, part of me feels like I should be getting something different from this, but I dunno if I am. I'm more befuddled than upset.
The main aspect of Reforged that excited me was getting not so much "new lore" but additional lore that was promised to us. We were gonna get lore from Chronicles and other books for Reforged. Instead, we got a rushed together "remaster" of the game.

The thing I was looking forward to the most was the Fall of Quel'thelas. Stuff like Anasterian, Thalorien, an updated Sunwell, etc. I know some of it made it into the game at the end of the day, but it just feels like they could've done more for this huge part of WoW's history.

I was also excited to see the new cutscenes that were showcased in 2018's Blizzcon for the various campaigns. I don't mind the oldschool ones so much but we would've been in for a treat with those new angles shown. I gushed over that with how Founding of Durotar could've looked.

I do like, as a content creator, I have better visuals to work with when I need to re-tell the events of Reign of Chaos and Frozen Throne but I can't help but wonder how great it would've been for us to have had both a remaster and a retelling.
