I get it she's a new flavor of undead and a flavor Forsaken aren't altogether familiar or for. But I always see them clammer for Sylvanas to come back when she herself is not good for them or the Faction. Calia isn't even in lead yet.

Calia hasn't even done anything yet & people aren't even giving her a chance. Just because Calia offers mental health clarity doesn't instantly mean "Light Forsaken". The most I see them doing is getting rid of the plague which makes total sense to do after the harm its caused.
My thoughts exactly and what's wrong with bringing more characters we haven't seen much of back into the spotlight and make new ones too, old characters stories have to end at some point so we can move on into new stuff & new chapters can begin.
The Horde's Leadership as it stands right now is mostly new characters but also characters established for a long while too. I personally am fine with both new and old characters taking up the spotlight.
