And also? The fact that the Gift of N'Zoth still exists afterwards (as confirmed by NPC dialog) should give us all pause. We know Old Gods don't die the way we do.

C'thun died back in one patch in vanilla WoW and his forces still had influence and Cho'gall was still calling him "The Master" some years later in Cataclysm. Yogg-Saron died in Wrath and we're still seeing his influence today. Y'Shaarj died millennia ago, his heart kept going.

It took the full might of Aman'thul to kill Y'Shaarj AND it didn't really work AND it just about killed Azeroth, and we're thinking we successfully killed N'Zoth with less, using the Forge of Origination that he himself corrupted and wanted us to use against him?
