WoD didn't need an epilogue, the ending cinematic directly set up the next expansion.
Even if WoD had its problems and its story wasn't the greatest I still wanted to know what would happen next with those characters. But it ended so abruptly you don't get that and you only get "closure" with the Mag'har Scenario. Which that scenario also sucked.

Getting closure and wrapping up literally every possible storyline aren't the same thing, and WoW's never done that. But the closure was that the Legion was defeated on Draenor and Archimonde was permanently dead.
