I played WoD and while I was disappointed I still logged in every day. BFA has destroyed my desire to play. Part of that may be, in fact, due to WoD. The ending of BFA isn't the worst. The multiple failed systems, and wasted development, is the worst. The story is icing.
I logged in every day of WoD & BfA. The difference being I enjoyed playing BfA but not WoD because there was something to do at least. I think it's just a manner of what you play the game for and I really only play it for the story.

WoD story was good in the beginning until they just didn't finish it and did bullshit with Grom. BfA was not my favorite at any point with the story aside from Bwonsamdi and the Jaina song/cinematic (which is almost more beautiful than the entirety of WoD or BfA). Not a game tho
