I don't think that's a hot take. The Shadowlands teaser was trash and Blizzard really shot themselves in the foot with it.
I don't think it was "Trash" but I do think it was lackluster compared to Legion and Battle for Azeroth's.

I honestly think it was really bad. It didn't put any emphasis on features that could carry the expansion, left everything far too vague without any hook and made it feel as if there was a lot less to the expansion than there really was.
