I think I would agree that it definitely depends a lot on context... but still, I would imagine that the general population of Azeroth, even in places like Stormwind or Silvermoon, would probably at least raise an eyebrow at a demon walking around in the Trade district.

Yeah, in that context, it does seem painful. As a person with a history degree (which I get to use for once): During World War 2, America sent Japanese-Americans, people who were not the enemy, to internment camps. And they were also humans, not literal (enslaved) demons.
I mean my guy is an Orc war veteran and he just wants to get a drink. His children are all grown up or dead. His wives are dead. He's alone his friends and leaders are dying and the very army that enslaved and ruined his culture are invading. And Jimmy nearby has a demon out.
