Some time ago I tweeted about why Ban'orak wears this long cloak. I said it was because he wore a torn sail from a ship he was in charge of that he failed. But he also wore it because he wanted to make things more difficult to fight in when wearing such a thing.pic.twitter.com/Wx6f1q3xbo
For Ban'orak, he was an aging Orc who kept losing those he loved more & more. He was in a very similar situation as Varok was. So he tried to make things harder for himself in combat. It never worked though and he later shortened the cloak so it wasn't as taxing on him.
