So for some reason, Gelbin Mekkatorque is receiving some form of negativity from the community for returning. As somebody who's been saying Alliance needs to lose more leaders, Gelbin isn't one of them. He's quite honestly one of the better leaders of the Alliance. (1/2)

I think people are just mad the both he and Jaina had a brush with death in the recent raid and both skipped out of it without any major story repercussions. I'd agree, he's one of the more interesting ones though and I'm glad he didn't die.

It's something I've noticed and pointed countless times. Again I've been advocating that the Horde losing leaders way too often but recently those losses weren't all bad. Only real losses I consider bad recently were Varok and Vol'jin but Varok had a very very good story arc.

Yeah I totally agree with you there. And Vol'jin's death felt like it was (at the time) meant for shock value. Varok had a very satisfying arc, and I was totally ok with his death (though sad). His arc basically told us that would be the outcome from the beginning.

I will say though, the death of Rastakhan was rough for me. Again, could see it coming a mile off, but still he was a character I had become attached to (especially after Zul's coup where you go get his soul back from Bwansamdi and then following death of Rezan).

Rastakhan definitely did not deserve to show up, be sort of impotent, and then be killed off. I'll stand on my opinion that he should have been maimed, not killed, and forced to take a back seat to Talanji until the day I die.

Rastakhan got the short end of the stick within Battle for Azeroth. Talanji is a great character don't get me wrong, she's one of the greatest additions to the Horde recently. But Rastakhan deserved more time in the spotlight than he got.
