The purists are apparently the main reason why Warcraft 3 Reforged isn't getting what was fully promised. Any of the Warcraft 3 Purists who demanded no changes? Fuck off. I was excited for those changes and cutscenes. Others were excited too. We're going to war.

The ability to toggle on/off was not announced, and even if it was, doesn't stop it from being a blatant re-writing of history. Believing that the ONLY in-game cinematic that's being updated is Arthas vs Illidan is reaching at best. They all looked incredibly dated.
You people are unbelievable. Instead of being okay with both of them existing you instead just want the single version of the narrative from 2002. Warcraft 3 was amazing and great but you're refusing to accept something that a decent amount of people wanted and were excited for.

Ah yes, I want the classic Blizzard game rewritten by the woman who single-handedly ruined Arthas and Illidan as a character for many fans. If Golden rewrote it, it would've made Arthas practically irredeemable and Illidan a guy who dindu nuffin.

It's not that I don't want it to be two separate things, it's that's not how lore works. Once it's retconned, it stays retconned. By changing Reforged's story, you're not only retconning a lot of Warcraft 3, but you're rewriting history.
