I don't mean to be the stick in the mud but all these fanciful theories always overthink everything so much. Blizzard 100% telegraphs what's going to happen. Who is the next villain? What is HER plan? What convenient tool just reentered the story? Ding ding ding.

Those people will never go away, they'll bitch and moan every time a faction thing happens in the story, incessantly whine about "human potential" and "Bainduin" and other nonsense.
Can't do much about them but I am just happy, for the moment, that the WoW story team didn't go under pressure of what the Sylvanas fans wanted and instead went with the story they've probably wanted for years.

Ehhhhh I think its still too early to definitively say there's not going to be a moment where they try to hamfist an Illidan-esque, "He was doing it for a good reason all along!" agenda with her. I'll believe it when she's actually dead. Which will probably never happen.

Illidan had a little room to work within what they pulled in Legion. I know you disliked how they portrayed him immensely and see him as a villain which is totally entirely fair. He's not the best of dudes. But holy moly would they need to take a huge leap for her.
