Funny when you know well the lore. Because Lilian was not a forsaken before bfa and the reasons why are "she's dead so......"

Lilian Voss takes it upon herself to be the leading Forsaken character in the Horde war campaign. She's the one doing the actual work that a real leader of the Forsaken would be doing, unlike Sylvanas. The reasons before were that she hated being undead and wanted to work alone.

For as much as I dislike that she was brute forced into joining the Forsaken, the outcome of it was probably the best part of the Horde's war campaign: Lilian Voss gained a purpose in her Undeath beyond just killing. Which is helping other Forsaken find their place in the world.

Helping them find purpose in their suffering... after consciously helping cause said suffering. I get what you're talking about, but I feel like some of the writing in BfA is all over the place.

Lilian Voss didn't resurrect other people as Forsaken except for Zelling who explicitly asked her to. It's not fair whatsoever to say she was consciously helping in the Forsaken's suffering.

Captain Amalia? She's more than willing to help after the fact, sure, but she has no qualms about taking her corpse to be forcefully raised to begin with.

Except for the 3 quests where she explicitly talks about being unwary about killing her own people.

That's sort of my point, though. You have stuff like that, and then just moments later you have her doing her duties with malicious glee. Both Voss and Rexxar feel very off at times during the campaign.
