I'd agree but I'm not sure how Blizzard does that in a world with flying and mount equipment and 32 slot bags and easy gold. Unless they go back to spell ranks which would mostly just annoy max level players who keybind the wrong rank.
Hot Take: The WoW revamp to the level system is going to be Blizzard's way of emulating what Classic WoW is producing for the player base. I wouldn't be surprised if the success of Classic is the reason for these changes. Doesn't mean we'll be getting a Classic WoW copy though.pic.twitter.com/c0RFikccL5

Any step towards classic is a step backwards in the eyes of many of the players who are spurning classic right now. If anything, Blizzard leverages classic and pushes retail away from it, knowing that anyone yearning for that experience has it as an option now.

As far as wow went it will be a rough road for blizz to make changes without pissing off part of it's player base but honestly wow was never really meant to fit for everyone's style even if they themselves wanted to.

I think it's smart for Blizzard to reach a middle ground but honestly, I don't think they should stop with Classic for some players. I do think some things from Classic blended into current day's WoW would be beneficial. Just not everything from Classic obviously.

I hope not, classics levelling design is quite single character oriented and live has become quite an alt fest (which I like). Harder levelling would just depress me to no end. I’m sure they can keep the pace but just make it more enjoyable
