What I wanted to see was the Armies of Legionfall turn into the Champions of Azeroth. The remnants of the Order Halls that decided to stay neutral instead of going to war. That way, benched characters like Khadgar or the Earthen Ring get involved rather than disappear.
Would've been cool to see some of those characters stay neutral or join their faction. We saw characters like Hammul & Broll around Silithus but do nothing. Maybe it would've been more interesting if they let the player choose between the Champions of Azeroth or their Faction.

Yeah, that was my thinking exactly when BFA was in beta. Also sidenote, they took Rehgar out of Silithus, so I assumed they were gonna do something with him on Hordeside. ... still waiting on him to show up.

Rehgar should be the canonically holder of the Doomhammer. I get it that Blizzard wants the champion of Azeroth to hold onto the artifact weapons canonically but for those who aren't shamans, I could see Rehgar holding it.
