Sadly there's been a fair bit of vitriol on both ends ever since nostalrius got shut down. Once the general player base caught wind of the beef, it went from a rather small point of contention to a decent size one. To be expected when the amount of people involved is superfied.

95% of the WoW community is incapable of enjoying anything or letting others enjoy anything, they’re sad little monsters in a big monster’s world.

Also, I’ve noticed every expansion from vanilla to bfa have two things in common, they’re fun in their own ways, and, people would be forced to not have a life if they wanna be on top in anything be it raiding or pvp.

Same I am gonna play both. Use one as my escape from the other. They're both great for different reasons they fulfill different desires. It's like single flavor icecream and mixed flavor. Either way I get something tasty and that's okay.

I feel like comparing BFA and Classic is like comparing Prego Traditional and Prego Tomato Basil Garlic. I mean they're both providing something for their individual audience, respectively. Dunk on each other all you like its still just pasta sauce/WoW.
