Maybe I'm being pessimistic but fan sentiment seems split enough, with enough people throwing money at Blizz, that if store mounts were going away, they'd be gone by now. (See cosmetic helms.) So everyone complaining feels like the old man yelling at clouds meme.

My thing is, and has always been, mounts and other cosmetic items in a cash shop have NO place in a buy to play and mandatory subscription per month game.

The mounts aren't mandatory, however for a company like Blizzard in this day and age where they're not gonna get new players they can put mounts like that up for those who want to pay for it. Plus you can buy it with gold in-game.

I get why people get upset about most store mounts and normally I agree but this new one is just a diff buying option. I think it's nice that they give us two ways to buy the mount. You can get the big anniversary thing or if you just want the mount you can just get the mount.
