There are more reasons why its unlikely. 1. He brought Azshara back, both of them could be an expansion on their own 2. An OG expansion could revamp the whole game, especially lorewise 3. It is too soon to end them when they did so little 4. There are better choices.
I do have a few reasons why I don't think BfA will end with N'zoth as the final boss. 1. We fought a portion of him in 8.1.5. 2. He just was freed. 3. The expansion has only recently focused on him. But Blizzard has down bosses dirty before so we'll see.pic.twitter.com/lgn09UgdAY

I'm pleasantly surprised and happy Azshara is still around. I'm hoping she gets a role like Gul'dan did in Legion. The face of the enemy for a patch or two so to speak.

Sadly They keep beingd like Lich king bolvar, the titans, azshara even, just in case they need more villains.

Well Azshara we want to see more that was rather clear by most Lore Nerds, the Titans we only recently got them back and we always viewed them positively until recently. I would agree the LK is the one outlier however I will admit keeping him around kept things more interesting.

He is not going to be the final boss, in the quest that you pick up that you have to defeat Azshara Lothemol and Jaina have a dialogue where the saying that so long Sylvanas is Warcheif there will be no peace between the Horde and the Alliance.

The only thing this speculated that we going to have a final conflict with her, hoping it’s not going to be a SoO 2.0 because that be lazy for Blizzard to do.
