I feel like they're trying in 8.2 with showing the azerite eruptions in places like Hyjal, but the problem is that the azerite stuff doesnt really feel like a dying planet. It just feels like rocks and blobs causing trouble. Especially when the visual is just blue consecration.
Azerite in itself is visually beautiful and has only shown to be negative when used to empower weapons. Hopefully, with what happens at the end of 8.2 they'll push for a far more consequential approach.
