Could be Sylvanas was on the cusp of stopping the Void Lords and that's why. I could totally see Xal'atath being a sort of anti-hero Old God. Could be possible she wants to claim Azeroth and doesn't want N'zoth to.

That is what I thought aswell. Like the one quote about how the weakest of all Gods will consume Azeroth, how it was always meant to be. Maybe she talked about herself there. I mean the Priest orderhall even speculates that she could have been an Old God herself

Xal'atath was speculated to either be a part of Y'sharaj or a lesser Old God that was ripped apart by the others. I think it would be interesting if she was a piece of Y'sharaj as he was the strongest and it could mean maybe one day we'll see his full return.

Maybe she really was. Just saying one of her Skins was Claw of Y'shaarj... or was it N'zoth? Uh... can´t remember. And yes, it would be interessting altho I don´t know how she wants to claim Azeroth. I mean just look at her, she somehow seems to care for the Champions

I'm not so sure I got that vibe from her. I got that she wanted to use us to reach her goal and every Old God and their minions wants to claim a Titan for their Void Lord masters. If Xal'atath is going into space? She's probably going to her masters to report what's happened.

Well, I would disagree with the last thing. That "Free me to find my own fate" does sound like she really want to find something for her own and not to serve another master. And I still think she cares. I get that from her Dialog in the Quest (Atleast the priest one) and the-

"Shadows Guide you, my Dear friend. We will meet again... I am certain of it." (SHADOWS BTW, not Void) For me it looks like she 1. isn´t really Void and 2. That she somehow cares for us. Or atleast still sees a use for us. You can also base the second thing on her history-

since she said that she mostly kills her former users. Somehow she didn´t kill the Priest tho... so either 1. She does care or 2. She still has a greater plan

I'd imagine she has a greater plan. I just have a hard time trusting something like her.

Well yes but if we think about it... She really sacreficed herself like she said in the Questline. She is sentient, has killed her owners/users before, still she sucked in the Energies of Sargeras sword to help us safeing Azeroth

She was rather upset that we used her for that though. That was something we made her do rather than her willingly doing so.

"What sacrefice I made..." It still looks like she did it becourse she wanted to help. Yes, she propably wasn´t happy but she also didn´t just killed you for trying to do it. And like I said in the Lore it is statet that she is able to kill you

Every character is "able to kill you" but it's pretty evident we're pretty useful in the eyes of the Old Gods as time and time again characters could've killed us but they failed or we were brought back shortly afterwards.
