Y’know despite the polarizing reaction the end of Eternal Palace got, Azshara surviving opens up the door for characters like Tyrande or Farondis to have their day in the sun with her. This makes me feel better about things.

That was my main concern with Azshara's death in 8.2. Nobody there really felt like they deserved the kill on Queen Azshara. Lor'themar, Thally, and Shandris to a degree but... Farondis, Tyrande, Malfurion, those big three were missing from it.
