My only concerns with a Tinker class is "How would Legion be handled due to the amount of class specific legacy content?" and "Balancing is hard enough with the current spec count" Yet I really like the idea and these new assets are unlike to be "just for mechagon"
I guess that's a problem for any new class is the balancing and the Artifact Weapons but they could make the Tinker Class a hero class so people can skip that part in Legion.

It won't be a hero class. Especially if Allied race are involved. My best guess is a world revamp that would circumvent the traditional leveling system and allow 1-60 without X-Pacs. After all, a level squish IS coming.

Would still raise the challenge of legion quests directing players to a class halls/require champions for legion endgame. Tinkers would be unable to do some Legion achievs/content. Unless they're legit willing to review old content along with the squish (which I'd love)
