Oh yeah same. I still do like to think about their perspective though, right? Even when the perspective is "I'm just evil".
I'm not against Azshara and Sylvanas turning out to be "Trying to help us" but they're both characters I'm not impartial to staying as villains. Sometimes you just need characters to be the embodiment of evil and they don't always have to have redemptional traits.pic.twitter.com/MI8dxwDEJr

I just feel bad for characters like Illidan or Deathwing. Illidan because he was -trying- to stop the Legion but because he did things the wrong way he was stopped and killed and even hated. And Deathwing because he had little say so because of the job the Titans gave him.

I think there's a time and a place for redemption arcs. For me, Sylvanas doesn't deserve one & Azshara doesn't feel like she'd be the character for it. But they may end up proving me wrong in a patch or an expansion from now, depending.

I can see the ”redeeming” qualities of both, but I put Azshara on the higher position of villainy than Sylvanas. Although after her promotion to Warchief the lines of ”humanity” have started to blur, especially after Teldrassil.

Azshara yes. Sylvanas - I would say no. Her destiny was to die a hero on the fields of Quel’thals. Arthas stole that destiny. At the end of all things she should be judged as ranger-general not banshee queen
