This is the vibe I got. Azshara is a monster and almost devoid of any kind of redeeming quality, but it sounds to me like she feels some small hint of remorse towards the people she screwed over twice - even if she is the reason they can’t move on.
I see a lot of comparisons of Azshara and Sylvanas as of late. I'm thinking Azshara is the example of how far loyalty can go too far for a Leader.

Was tackled in Wa tf of the Ancients too iirc. As late as the second book, maybe even into the third, people just couldn't accept Azshara wasnt a hostage trapped in the palace rofl. They wanted to "rescue our queen from these demons"
