The whole thing about the Rustbolt Resistance is they are VERY firm on the belief that the person getting the mechanization needs to give consent. Plus they don't want to make themselves 100% mechanical as they don't want to lose themselves in the process. So don't fret.

I think Prince Erazmin as Gazlowe says is a good Leader and has a lot of potential. But we'll see how he goes going forward. But I really like the Junker Gnomes probably my favorite potential allied race in the Alliance right now.
