Unfortunately a reality with the faction war story line is NOBODY can win due to gameplay mechanics which makes the story feel awkward. There is no reason the Alliance doesn't decimate the Horde after Dazar'Alor and I main Horde!
It's really hard to give a win or lose in a game like WoW especially when it comes to character deaths. On one hand, you can give a character an amazing death or a terrible one depending on the circumstance.

I agree with that especially when you look at Varian and Voljin's death scene. One got a great death and the other felt really disappointing.
