I just wish there was some lore tidbit that explained all this.
We know that the Uncrown are up to something if you visit Garona or Lillian as a rogue & ask them why they're here. Rexxar just says he left the Unseen Path to help out the Horde since they needed him more. I don't think they're disbanded but some are more active than others.

Seems as if the Uncrowned are willingly keeping an eye on Sylvanas. It's possible they'll become important later on in the story somehow.
