I know some people are going: "Sylvanas only sent two assassins to get Thrall involved." which is possible not saying it isn't. Thrall was unaware of the assassins but was on the edge clearly. Had Varok never arrived things might've panned out differently for Thrall. 1. Vaurok knew they were coming, if he did not vaurok would not have been prepared 2. thrall would have been alone and NOT KNOWN they were coming.
I thought @TaliesinEvitel made a good point that they probably weren't sent to kill Thrall, but only to keep an eye on him. Then when Saurfang shows up, they decided to go for the glory of bringing in Horde public enemy number one.
I've seen a few others back this point and its a pretty good point to think about. Sylvanas already saw Saurfang as a threat but Saurfang and Thrall? Not good.
