For me, Thrall needed to come back as it made the most sense narratively since he wasn't dead or too injured to not help. The whole point was: "You can't hide from your problems when you can help fix them." (3/3)pic.twitter.com/ZIZBfk5r9t
Thrall needed to comeback to pull the Horde's ears and get them in place. (I do hope we get the Alliance side but with Khadgar. I miss the old mage).
I think the main issue is people want variety both in the Alliance and the Horde. But Blizzard also wants to tell the story of Saurfang strictly with these cinematics probably because Saurfang is going to die soon and they want that weight behind it that these cinematics bring.
I know whoever ends up on the throne after Sylvanas will be polarizing, but Thrall seems like the most attractive option. I guess we just have to accept that no matter what Blizz gives us, people will bitch. Personally, I’m stoked.

Thrall is why I have a Shaman. I love him. But this old guy has earned his rest. The rest of us need to let go and move on. Folks call him "Green Jesus" cause some fans won't let a situation pass w/out calling him to fix it. Thrall doesn't need to take the wheel.
