That's very interesting that you bring up Deathwing. I talk about that exact same thing in my video about why Deathwing is a B-tier character. I just don't know how you show him off in the correct way for what he is. Same for Turalyon & Alleria. In my (now 5 year old) video.
I feel like they could've done DW the same way they did the LK. One thing I think that would've been far more interesting is him somehow breaking away from the Old Gods and doing his own thing. I never would expect a character to break from the control of the Old Gods.

That's why the Lich King was such a beloved villain. He was evil in his own right. Corruption by the Old Gods I feel is overused in WoW's story that it cheapens a villain's backstory. If it's a henchman of sorts, I can accept that. If it's the main villain, it's just meh.
