I wish I knew more about the former. Only played 3 a tiny bit so my experience with modern Chief is limited. I just know he was a physical juggernaut with what would be considered Federation standard tech level shielding using Halo 2 as my primary basis for comparison.
The Master Chief is essentially no longer human just like Samus is no longer human really. Again hard to say who would win when pinned against each other but as allies? Aliens who threaten humanity beware.
