I can't fathom how on any front honestly. Defense, toolkit, mobility, strength all have feats in Samus' favor.
I mean factoring in Cortana and the gifts he received in Halo 4 would be enough to aid against Samus. Then again my knowledge on Samus is minimal at best. ...Probably just best they work together. Less arguing that way.

:P Honestly I can't remember if in game strength was canon for MC now. And I haven't played since Halo 3 sadly, so I don't know about any new feats for him. If he can flip tanks like they're made of balsa in canon he's probs got Samus beat there by a good bit.

I wish I knew more about the former. Only played 3 a tiny bit so my experience with modern Chief is limited. I just know he was a physical juggernaut with what would be considered Federation standard tech level shielding using Halo 2 as my primary basis for comparison.
