How many more ways do you want the Night Elves to be destroyed? They get wiped out, half their characters given to the Horde, not even included in the Azshara patch (Shandris' nonsense aside) and then want them to become the next villains?

I think maybe if BfA thusfar hadn't been the genocide of their people, loss of two interesting character to the Horde, and exclusion from an important storyline for them, then sure. But I think making them be villains halfway through BfA would be the final straw for many people.

I mean I'll be blunt I never found Sira very interesting. Delaryn, on the other hand, I can agree that she's an interesting character. But I think making this as Tyrande's continuation in the next expansion adds up given her stance on Teldrassil.

Interesting may not be the best word, but she was still a rather important secondary character that existed since Cataclysm. A new Night Elf character that wasn't a RTS hold over. One that became leader of the Wardens. Fought Ragnaros, went to Draenor, led in Legion. Stolen.

I guess that's fair. I really didn't like the Darkshore storyline that much as Horde for me it felt something only a Forsaken, Blood Elf, Goblin or Death Knight might take joy in. I kind of wish if you said, "No" to Nathanos that delay would allow Sira to be spared or saved.

If they really need Forsaken Night Elves, I would have been totally cool with and really liked if Sylvanas pulled a Gul'dan and basically created her own Death Knight-esque Dark Wardens by forcibly stealing Wisps and putting them into dead bodies.

That would've been interesting and tie Sylvanas as another Arthas once again.

The "Sylvanas is now Arthas" comparison was already complete with the burning of Teldrassil. Repeating that story literally beat for beat by then resurrecting a new Sylvanas (Delaryn) to be her servant was just way too much.

I'm hoping they push more of that into the story. I know there's a lot you don't like in BfA but that's something I like that they've been showing. I like these nods and references to Arthas that especially ring with Sylvanas a lot.

And then, as many of us fear, Blizzard will go full tilt and make her Kerrigan.

I really just, I hate the idea of us "forgiving Sylvanas" or forcing that down people's throats. I like Sylvanas, definitely not as much as I use to, but I don't want her to be this "savior of Azeroth". Make her the villain and make her face up to it. Make her run from death.

This is the company where they took a Gothic, religious-inspired action RPG series, a hardcore Tolkien fantasy series, and a space western series... ...and then made them have the exact same origin story and final villain.

I don't know if they're gonna make N'zoth/Void Lords and Amon the final villain of Starcraft or Warcraft. Starcraft maybe, depending on if they don't do a Starcraft 4 or whatever they have planned. But Warcraft? Not sure who they're making the final villain still.
