Thrall not wielding Doomhammer nor the Plate really upsets me as a lore fan, and that's even as somebody who could sum up their opinion of Thrall as, "Mild dislike." Why reintroduce him if you rob him of his iconic equipment? Xal'atath is back. Just give him Doomhammer goddammit
Could be they're building up to it. I've spoken with @thompshire that this is just a temporary armor for Thrall and they'll do something with him getting the Doomplate back and maybe him giving you that wolf cowl armor he's wearing or something along those lines.
