He's basically abandoned everything about him that made him unique. I absolutely hate Legion for stealing lore weapons from characters.
I think at the end of the day those things didn't make Thrall who he was completely. I do wish he went back to the Doomplate and got back Doomhammer but I like that he's trying to be his own person too.

They are incredibly iconic parts of his character. This is a story of him saving the Horde with the son of the Tauren who founded it, and he's discarded everything that attached him to it.
