Catch-22. Interest in the game has declined, but there are a ton of yt folks just complaining. I guess that type of video draws views nowadays but I appreciate the useful stuff put out (patch updates, lore, guides). I may be in the minority.
So apparently there is a lack of views going around content creators for WoW. This isn't going to deter me from what I do but it is sad to hear the lack of interest in WoW suddenly going around.

1: There is and there isnt. WoW wont have as much innate reach as the current hot trend like fortnite videos for example, but it always has a stready stream of views. It goes though periods of people watching tons of wow videos during xpac launches and then slows down during luls

2: The way to find out which wow youtubers/streamers know what they're doing is how well they do during the luls. My channel is doing great, so is madseasonshows. Asmongold and hazle have successful wow streams.

There are many factors affecting WoW at the moment that are making people less interesting in WoW. I know 2 of them that are pretty big right now and that's ESO and FFXIV with there new expansions right around the corners so people are probably playing those 2 games right now.

As Belluar said and broke down in his recent video, the player base at large are tired of broken promises from Blizzard regarding WoW. It's a tough spot right now. The story is decent, but the time between patches is too much.
