She always struck me as a Lady Olenna kind of person. She never cared about her husband, and his death let them become the leader of their house (or company, for Ashvane), giving them an intense amount of power.
I suppose that's fare makes Ashvane's dramafest over her husband at the start lose its value but... it lost its value the moment she went, "Katherine you suck. I am taking over now."

I always took her outrage over her husband's death as fake and only used as an excuse to depose Katherine.

Speaking of, the other day on Discord somebody brought up the fact that they wondered if Jaina is mad at Thrall now for the events with Daelin. In War Crimes, she seemingly forgave Thrall. Now he isn't doing himself favors but I think she doesn't blame Thrall right now.
