WoD Leveling outside of Gorgrond was fantastic, BC was a giant mess all over the place. HFP was a giant tunnel that was just awful, the gear was terrible looking until end game, the story made no sense, and the villain was totally butchered.

Exactly! If people use the excuse, "BC was the first expansion you've gotta level with it." I literally skip that threshold of leveling for Northrend every single time. BC had good moments but when I put it side to side with WoD (the arguably worst expansion) I like WoD more.

You're probably not wrong, but my only experience with WoD was leveling at the end before Legion. I was so active during BC, and so involved with a guild, that I will always remember it more fondly.
-
See, I'm the opposite I was super active during Warlords of Draenor and didn't play Burning Crusade at all except for leveling, gear and reputations. If people had a great time during TBC that's awesome! I just think the expansion over all isn't worth its praise.

I didn't play BC at the time so I can't compare, but I can understand this argument. WoD's biggest problem of little content over a long time is negated when you're going back to see it. What WoD did, it did very well.
-
I think this is spot on. As a new player, I enjoyed the content of WoD while leveling. Running through the gate with Khadgar was exciting. OTOH, if I was sitting in Taanan Jungle for months at end game, I could see it leaving a less-satisfying taste. Looking forward to the TW.

I wasn’t playing when TBC came out, but I hate going to Outland to level. The dungeons are okay, I guess, but I just find Outland boring to level in.
-
Warlords, on the other hand, I actually kind of enjoyed. Since I didn’t start playing at the beginning of the expansion (I took a long break from the game), I had plenty of stuff to do and catch up on.

Agreed and disagree. I still hold BC as one of my favorites over WoD, due to the nostalgia factor, and that it was the game that I started with in 2007. I fondly remember the time spent in Nagrand doing all the quests and earning the trust of the Kurenai.
-
With WoD, yeah, the quests, outside of Gorgrond, were well-designed and the music and zone structures were beautifully crafted, but honestly, the time spent in my Garrison took away the beauty and craft in the zones.
