(2/2) will be far better off if they decide to start winding down WoW and after it's done, put out a full blown Warcraft 4. And then, if they feel so inclined after a short break, really work on a WoW 2 and revitalize the MMORPG genre like they did the first time.

I wonder if WoW 2 would allow you to play the races they introduced through the years and introduce some new ones as well.

I think if this was Warcraft 4 and Blizzard had the freedom to completely blow up and rearrange the factions, what we know of the Horde and Alliance nowadays would be 100% TOTALLY different. This is a fundamental issue many of us have with the storytelling in a MMORPG format.

I swear I dont bring up FF14 just to shit on WoW, but there aren't multiple player factions. Just 1. And it allows them to kill off/rearrange story factions as they see fit without having to work around players being upset if they, for example, would make Belves Alliance.

I mean W3 had four factions but Blizzard managed to split them from four into two. Narratively it makes sense for the Horde and Alliance to bind together into one faction but still contain that identity of the Alliance and Horde.

I disagree slightly, I think the Night Elves and Forsaken were pretty hamfisted into the Alliance and Horde. Night Elves being isolationists hardcore, even at the very end of Warcraft 3, and Forsaken should have been completely mistrusted by the Horde.

I suppose but they've been apart of the factions for over 15 years you basically get use to it. Realistically I don't think they could've done four factions anyways.

I'm not saying in terms of WoW, I'm saying in terms of how they ended Warcraft 3 and then went into WoW. Just because I can appreciate the Nelves being hardcore Alliance member doesn't mean I can't find the "logic" (what little there is) of them joining them pretty hamfisted.

It's actually funny that you bring that up because recently it honestly feels like they're starting to show how alien the Night Elves and Forsaken are in the factions in BfA. Not to the extremes quite yet but I wouldn't be surprised if they pull something with those two.

I think we all can agree, turning the Forsaken into the primary Horde faction since Sylvanas is very strange and completely alien (hah!) to the feeling of the Horde.

Now imagine Eitrigg, Rokhan, Baine, Lor'themar, and Ji following the Scourge. That's why most of us are annoyed with the BfA story.

That's why I am hoping for an honest team up with the Alliance and Horde against Sylvanas. Saurfang had the right idea as did Anduin.
