Mists of Pandaria deconstructed the faction war & showed why a faction war storyline is stupid.
It was then proceeded by Legion (with a faction war zone) and BfA, which was entirely about a faction war.
Its like they forgot their own point they made in MoP

Because that would require actual repercussions for the Horde and, especially, for Sylvanas. And that never, ever, happens.
Well one can hope with all the attention Sylvanas is getting she'll get repercussions but I can definitely understand being hesitant on believing that after what we've been told already.
