Having champions work with him to stop Azerite is not the same thing as him demanding the faction war stop. Sylvanas already has shown she's not interested. And she's the leader.
But what if there are characters who agree with Magni & the Alliance that they need to put their differences aside to deal with Queen Azshara? It'd also be a good way to stick it to Sylvanas & a step in the right direction. Though Sylvanas is picking off those who would 1 by 1.

None of them have shown any desire to actually DO something outside of Baine, who is gone. Compare that to 5.1 leading into 5.2, we already knew Vol'jin/Baine/Thrall were out, and Lor'themar was only pretending to still be loyal to Garrosh. None of that build up is here.

You can't just repeat the same story beat without the lead up and then pretend that it should have the same narrative or emotional impact.

8.1.5 has plenty of hints and acknowledgements that something will occur or be done. I agree we need that build up which is where 8.2 or 8.2.5 comes in. Since we don't really know what the final patch is I would assume they would do something more in the middle.
